For an archer? Yes. It's also generally considered unseemly unless you're willing to sit for hours to make it stylish, like Forrest.

[And Takumi's hair is certainly not stylish, especially when it's up- his bangs making that odd puff of hair at the top.]

Father and Ryoma both grew their hair out so I did too, though since my hair is textured much more like Queen Ikona's, at least that's what I've been told, it really doesn't have the same effect.

[The former and current Hoshidan king's manes made them look like beasts. Takumi looked like a girl]

Prince Ryoma's hair makes him look a bit like a spiky lobster, so frankly, this is better.

Gods don't ever say that where he can hear you. As for mine- it DID used to get caught in my bowstrings a bit when I was learning- but my hair was also shorter back then. Now that it's longer it's heavy enough that it doesn't whip up into the string.

Of course that's only an issue when I'm using a yumi other then the Fuujin.

Maybe. I've never had it fully cut, but trimming should be fine.
