[She waves a hand] It's not a big request. [She pauses and then tilts her head, expression amused as if to say "well..."]

Just-- Be his friend, I suppose. Even if he tries to be rude or push you away, don't let him. He needs people, even if he'd probably never admit it.

What about me? I don't think he'd ever see us as 'friends'-- that wouldn't be professional considering our roles as god and shinki. [Her tone suggests that's her imitation of Neji's view on it, rather than her own.] So, if he won't accept a friendship between us, I can at least make sure he gets it somewhere else.

...I don't know, if there a specific number of friends someone is supposed to have? I have a couple of people I talk to often, and Neji.

If you have to question if you're feeling lonely, you might be lonely.
