Quite...considerate. [ Sweat forms on Hibiki's brow, trickles down her face. All right. Slowly. Elegantly. Gracefully. She will extract herself...from this potentially dangerous position....

Then her hand slips and her front hits Maria's shoulder on its way down. Hibiki thumps down onto her own side, her back to Maria's back, more or less curled up into the fetal position and scowling in frustration and surprise. That. Could have gone better.

Curse these limitations. ]

[That bite draws another faint groan out of Ren, and he doesn't fight the tug at his hair at all, but it does make him think there's something unfair going on here. After a moment, he drops to his elbow to support himself and starts crawling his arm along the floor to shun's head. It's a pretty short distance, and soon enough, he's able to dig his fingers into Shun's hair and run his thumb along to back of his jaw.

Concentrating on that has made it difficult to keep concentrating on what's going on with their legs, other than noting that Shun seems very determined to make sure nothing untoward happens to him. It really makes Ren want to embarrass him even more, and he would if Shun didn't still have his other hand pinned like that. His legs definitely aren't in the right place to do it anymore either.

Shun's are, though, and Ren wriggles a bit to maybe try to keep him from getting up under him and unbalancing him completely, but mostly as a dare for him to go ahead and do it. If Shun really thinks that's going to embarrass him, he's going to be sorely disappointed]

[Ren lets out a long, thoughtful, kind of annoying hum and moves on to feeling another wall of the box. The next thing to try is probably teleporting...

Ren's form shivers violently at the edges for a second, but afterword, he's still sitting there like nothing happened but looking very disappointed by it.]

Well, teleporting doesn't work...

[Unfortunately, his other powers won't be much use here either since he can't actually go through walls...on the other hand, Yuto is a shinki and has his own abilities that Ren doesn't.]

Can you make a borderline?

[The sound and the shift brought on by Ren dipping to his elbow draws Shun's attention briefly, though there's not enough room - and he doesn't have enough limbs - to actually stop him bringing his relatively free hand closer. There is a calculated note to his expression for a moment or two, as if he's weighing the risks of trying to pin that second hand with the first somehow, but he supposes in this situation, it might be smarter to just let him distract himself with this one rather than risk losing what he already has. Not that he looks particularly bothered by it, though, given his expression would be better described as a challenge for Ren to see what he can do with that one half-mobile hand. He even tips his head a little into that brush of the thumb along his jaw, even as he slips his hand slowly down Ren's hair until it reaches the level of his neck.

One advantage of knowing someone who wears collars and has done for a very long time is that Shun knows what the safe width is meant to be, and he goes to slip two fingers up to the lower knuckle underneath Ren's own collar, lining them against the center of his throat as much as he can. The smallest curl of his fingers is enough to make those bones dig in, bringing a blunt pressure against where they're resting, and he pulls towards him a little as he tugs at Ren's lip with his teeth again. It's a little shorter-lived this time, though, if only because he follows it up with his tongue trying to push into his mouth instead. It feels like the natural escalation, and Shun's starting to figure out that actually thinking about it isn't going to help him any, so he goes with it.

What's going on below the waist is a somewhat different matter, though, and since Ren is only providing token resistance - if it wasn't for everything else about this situation being so distracting, Shun might be more suspect about that, but he just takes it for now - Shun takes the chance to keep pushing under. There's not a great deal of room, but Shun's taking as much advantage of it as he can, pressing Ren's hips up to the top of the box and bringing one of his legs up on top of a bent knee to fill the space beneath without having to hold himself in too awkward a position. The result is the top of his calf pressing up between Ren's legs, and Shun adjusts the arrangement of his own legs with a very deliberate slowness, given it means the upper one starts dragging back and forth across the point of contact.]

And blindly punching and getting angry is going to help?

[Yuto retorts with another scowl. He really doesn't want to stay in here any longer, but there has to be other way than mindlessly kicking the box.

When Shun moves back, it doesn't exactly make their position any less awkward but it's still something. Except the box doesn't seem to let them stay this way for too long. It feels like some unknown force pushes it and the box falls on its side, making Yuto land on top of Shun.]

...Dammit. [He mumbles the curse under his breath then calls to Shun.] Are you okay?

If neither thing is going to help, I'll take the one that at least feels like it's doing something. [Which...okay, maybe it isn't, but punching the box is cathartic. Catharsis counts as something, right?

It's not like having Yuto scowl at him for doing something violent is some kind of new experience for Shun, so he just frowns back at him. At least, he does until the box decides to tip over, which makes Shun tense up from the sudden motion. There's very few people who'd get away with landing on top of him in any situation without at least getting punched, but Yuto is one of them, and Shun, after a moment, drops his (still clenched, regardless of the lack of punching) fists down to the floor of the box with an annoyed hiss.]

Don't ask stupid questions. [And then, after another moment:] You seem fine.

[It doesn't count as asking a stupid question about whether Yuto is okay if he phrases it like a statement, clearly.]

[The sweat makes Maria's brow furrow a little concernedly, because that is...a lot of effort being put into not making a fool of herself. Or at least, that's what Maria imagines is the problem here.

Focusing on that means Hibiki slipping comes rather unexpectedly, though, and though she lets out a sharp breath when Hibiki hits her shoulder, she slides off quickly enough. It doesn't really improve their positioning at all, though, and though Maria tries to press herself a bit closer to her side of the box, it doesn't do much for how they're squashed in either.]

...That makes things harder.

[ Hibiki glowers, sulking, at the universe. Right. From this position - and if it won't give from pushing - ]

What's your power?

[ Just realized she didn't know it. If she had her sword.... ]

Healing. [Though Maria doesn't really know the details of it, she knows enough to be fully aware it isn't going to do anything for them here.] So nothing that can do anything for us right now.

Healing...

[ Said more to muse it over than out of having an actual idea. Are there any gaps in this box at all, for them to exploit?

Hibiki crosses her arms. ] We don't know whether it's soundproof, either.

[ Which makes calling for shinki out of the question. ]

[Maria catches on to what she's getting at with the point of soundproofing, and rather pointedly drives her heel into the side of the box again.]

Even if either of our shinki were in earshot, that might not be enough to get us out. And I'd need to be able to move to work with Natsuru effectively anyway.

[The costume works well enough when they have that space, but in a situation like this they wouldn't be able to get up the momentum to use the veils.]

I see.

[ What does Natsuru turn into...

Irrelevant. Hibiki debates their options, hits on the one most aligned with her aesthetic, and closes her eyes. They have no choice but to wait for someone to discover this box, and find it too heavy to move, at which point they open it! So, she shall remain calm, and--

--get a cramp in her leg....

Hibiki's eyebrow twitches. She can feel the pressure of her temper building in her chest again. This is just too intolerable a situation. ]
