Some shinki ideas. I don't know how serious I am about any of these.

Yui Yumekawa is technically from PriPara but she and Hibiki have barely interacted (which is good, because every time they do, things explode - I am not kidding). She is a sixth grader and she LOVES DREAMS SO DREAMIN' MUCH, LIKE, SHE WON'T BE QUIET ABOUT THEM and spends most of her time daydreaming and imagining the world is a pretty pastel wonderland but despite being a girly-girl she is also a battering ram of a human being. It will be very distressing to her to have forgotten what her dream is, more so than to learn she is dead.

Ken Ichijouji from Digimon 02 also keeps cropping up for me as a perennial possibility, because he's the kind of person who likes to know Why things happen and would therefore get involved in Plot, which Hibiki.....ahah. But he is also even younger than Yui and tends to blame himself for everything, so his god would essentially have to live in a holy water spring full-time. So there are some logistical issues here. He's a sweetie, though.

Finally, once the new season of Symphogear wraps up I half have my eye on either Kirika Akatsuki or Saint-Germain. Kirika is a goofy sentence ender user (-death) with extremely poor decision-making skills; she grew up in the same institute as Maria. Saint-Germain is an alchemist who has lived a very long time via said alchemy and been through all kinds of hell. She's cold and logical and devoted to her Mission but cares a lot about her companions. Also she has a gun that's powered by a Philosopher's Stone that shoots dragons. Please watch Symphogear.

This is a tough decision because I like the idea of all these people as shinki. Ken is just...a walking blight factory, though....I worry.

As someone who plays one shinki and one former shinki with crippling guilt issues... go for it, it's fun!
