Eating a spoonful of cinnamon. [ That has him raising a brow. ] Or truth.

[Maria pulls a bit of a face at the idea of eating a spoonful of cinnamon, though she's not sure she really wants to do anything involving truth either. While she prefers to be honest about things, there are others she'd really rather not talk about.]

...I suppose the cinnamon can't be that bad.

[ He kind of figures he knows where this is going and none of it is good. Still, he'll set the bottle of spice in front of her along with a spoon. ]

[declamando]

...Well, no, but I'll live. [She'll take it over the prospect of some nebulous truth question. Taking the spoon, she starts to pour out the cinnamon.]

At least it doesn't ask for a heaped spoonful.

[ As she starts pouring cinnamon on the spoon, Zero will discreetly move to the side of her... he doesn't want to get cinnamon all over his face and clothes. ]

[declamando]

[Don't worry, Zero, she's equally discreetly dragging a nearby bin towards her in preparation for the inevitable.

Putting the container down, she gives the spoon one last doubtful look before screwing up her face and sticking it in her mouth. She lasts about two seconds before spitting it spectacularly into the bin and breaking into a coughing fit.]

[ Yeah... he figured that would happen, so have a hand patting you on the back. ]

Spit it out.

[She does her best to get what she can feel of it together with her tongue so she can spit as much as possible out in the next attempt. After that, it's mostly just dregs, and though she feels like she should cough again, she doubts anything more is going to come out.]

...I should have had some water ready as well.

[That's a remarkably blunt way to make the request, but Maria manages to stifle her reaction to merely a smile.]

Just a pat on the head? That's fine. [Maria reaches over to pat the shorter woman on the head twice, just to be sure.]

I'd say we should just hope nobody tries. It seems to have been mostly normal so far.
