[At the prompting, Davesprite soars over from whatever nebulous thing he was doing before Urashima caught his attention.]

Yeah, hi, what's going on and am I getting flagged down to participate in some really shitty dare or a normal one.

( Holding up a very familiar sleepy and fluffy turtle! )

Hmm... I think it's normal! Will you pet her? She won't snap!

( He says as she yawns as big as she can. )

[Well, it's definitely not the shitty dare he was picturing, even if Kamekichi picking right then to yawn really wide is not the most reassuring thing ever on the not snapping front.]

Okay, so I'm just going to assume you've been working on your comedic timing together and I'm not about to have every regret about going along with this. [But go along with it he does, reaching one taloned hand around behind Kamekichi's head and petting her a few times.]

So did you need to collect a designated number of pets before the dare police let you off the hook or is this a minor infraction kind of deal.

( She allows it. Davesprite might be bird-ish and therefore menace-ish but he's an okay birdish boy. She'll even flick her tail a bit, fluffing it up particularly fluffy. )

[He will take fluffy tail flicking over being bitten, but he's still not pushing his luck, so Davesprite withdraws his hand once he feels like he's fulfilled an acceptable petting quota.]

Wow, that is a surprisingly not fucking terrible dare considering the way truth or dare games usually go like five seconds after they start.

So far. Don't underestimate the ability of each and every truth or dare game to go one hundred and ten percent to shit at the slightest goddamned provocation.

[Davesprite is definitely not at all overstating this. Admittedly, he can't really remember having played truth or dare other than at these occasional bizarre happenings of it, so he can't technically talk, but still.]
